The Parthenon acroteria, with their floral design, are the inspiration for this set of two cream enamelled bookends. A decorative detail for the library, office or bookshelf supplied with a gift box and a brief history of the exhibit.

The two impressive acroteria, decorative architectural details decorated the Parthenon roof and had a height of over three meters. They had the form of anthemia, hybrid floral decorations with palm leaf fronds and acanthus leaves. Today only fragments of the acroteria are saved, but visitors to the Museum can gain an impression of their original form from a plaster reconstruction presented in the Parthenon gallery of the Museum that incorporates the original fragments from both akroteria.
