This individually packaged inox bookmark takes its inspiration from the anthemion, a floral design that appears on the Peplos Kore dress. The Korai are marble statues of young girls dedicated to the Goddess Athena on the Acropolis by wealthy Athenians, from the first decades of the 6th century BC to the late 5th century BC.

Over 200 Korai statues or their fragments have been discovered on the Acropolis. Exceptional amongst the Korai is the Peplos Kore named for the garment she wears, the peplos. It is a severe dress, decorated with animals, birds and horse riders on its front panel, and with floral and geometric patterns on its edgings. Many believe she is not just a Kore but a goddess, perhaps Artemis, goddess of the hunt and protectress of small animals, and that she originally held a bow and arrow in her hands.
