This versatile wool blend stole takes its motif design from the acroterion, an elaborate architectural ornamental feature of the Parthenon. Lightweight and practical, it can be used across seasons and comes to you in the Acropolis Museum branded scarf envelope. Also available in navy blue.

The Parthenon roof was decorated with two huge akroteria placed at the peak of each of the temple’s two pediments. Over three meters in their original form, their design was a hybrid acanthus and palm leaf-shaped form known as an anthemion. The acanthus is a native mediterranean plant still commonly found in Athens today.
