This canvas shoulder bag is screen printed with motifs and designs from the multicolored clothing and jewelry of the statue known as the Chios Kore. Even today the Chios Kore shows traces of her originally brightly colored surface. A spacious and attractive multipurpose bag.

The korai are the marble statues of young girls that were expensive sculptures commissioned and dedicated by wealthy Athenians. They first appeared on the Acropolis in the first decades of the 6th century BC, when the sanctuary of the goddess Athena began to acquire its monumental character. In contrast to the nude kouroi, the statues of naked young men, the Korai are always dressed. Like many other korai, the Chios Kore wore ornately decorated clothes and jewelry painted in color, traces of which remain visible today.
