This handy small folding purse mirror has two mirrors, one with a 2x magnification. Its cover is decorated with a design inspired by that seen on the dress of a young woman's statue, the Peplos Kore. The mirror is packaged in the branded Peplos Kore design box with a brief history of the exhibit.

Over 200 Korai statues or their fragments have been discovered on the Acropolis. The Korai are the marble statues of young girls dedicated to the goddess Athena on the Acropolis by wealthy Athenians, from the first decades of the 6th century BC to the late fifth century BC. Exceptional amongst the Korai is the Peplos Kore named for the garment she wears, the peplos. It is a severe dress, decorated with animals, birds and horse riders on its front panel, and with floral and geometric patterns on its edgings. Many believe she is not just a Kore but a goddess, perhaps Artemis, goddess of the hunt and protectress of small animals, and that she originally held a bow and arrow in her hands.
