Ten small personal note cards bear the embossed motifs inspired by four of the decorative architectural elements of the Parthenon. Accompanied by their pale blue lined envelopes, the cards come in an elegant white hardboard box embossed with the western facade of the Parthenon.

The Parthenon had the richest sculptural decoration of all ancient Greek temples. It boasted the famous frieze, that 160 meters long band of blocks with sculpted surfaces that wrapped around the top part of the temple's walls. Then the so-called metopes - the rectangular panels above the building’s exterior colonnade presenting scenes from mythology, and the sculptures that adorned the triangular space framed by the roof cornices at the two ends of the temple, the pediments. It was adorned with the akroteria, architectural ornaments at the corners of the pediments and anthemia, floral shaped architectural embellishments at their peaks. Painted motifs also decorated parts of the temple. Its size, perfection, and the symbolism of the Parthenon sculptures made it a talking point in its times and an expression of Athens' power.
