This metal folding purse mirror features two mirrors, a regular and a magnifying glass. The illustration on its cover shows two Maenads, female followers of the god Dionysus that appear on the lid of a 4th-century BC ceramic lekanis. This accessory comes packaged in a Maenad branded box with a brief history of the Museum exhibit, making it a delightful gift and beautiful to carry.

The lekanis were luxurious containers used by women to store their jewelry and cosmetics. They had ornately decorated lids and were often used as wedding gifts. The Acropolis Museum lekanis lid is illustrated with a Dionysian scene: nine followers of the god Dionysus known as Maenads, five small winged Erotes (cupids) and a Satyr play music, drink excessively and dance around Dionysus, the god of wine, and theater.
