The screen printed design on this cylindrical leather case draws its inspiration from an Athenian inscription detailing a financial report on the construction of the Erechtheion for the years 408/407 BC. It is delivered to you packaged in the Erechtheion inscription series envelope, including a brief history of the exhibit. Also available with black print on white.

The Erechtheion was the last of the great projects planned by the statesman Pericles, the construction of which occurred after the death of the great Athenian leader. The building works were realized in two phases, first before and then after the outbreak of the Peloponnesian War. The text of this stele details the works that were undertaken in the second phase and provides details about the organization of the work program, the cost of materials and the wages paid to the sculptors and other craftsmen.
